Ziyi Wang is a pianist, collaborative pianist, and piano educator.

Ziyi began her musical studies in China before continuing her education in the United States. Prior to her undergraduate studies, she studied with pianist Chu-Fang Huang. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Dr. Joanne Polk, and her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Boston University under the guidance of Professor Boaz Sharon. She is currently completing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her additional training includes master classes with distinguished pianists such as Robert McDonald, Stephen Hough, and Michelle Cann.

As a performer, Ziyi has appeared in solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and collaborative performances throughout the United States and China. Her achievements include awards from the New York International Music Competition and the United States Open Music Competition. She has also collaborated with Steinway & Sons’ Spirio technology, including a performance at Steinway Hall in New York and a simultaneous cross-location presentation with the University of Maryland.

As a collaborative pianist, Ziyi has worked with vocalists, instrumentalists, chamber ensembles, and choirs in a wide variety of musical settings, including recitals, competitions, concerts, and contemporary music projects. She previously served as a Collaborative Piano Assistant at the University of Maryland, where she worked closely with singers and instrumentalists in lessons, rehearsals, juries, and performances. Her collaborative experience spans a broad range of repertoire, from standard works to contemporary music.
